Anwar Zeidan

Mr. Anwar Zeidan is a founding partner and head of the Capital Market and Procedures department. Mr. Zidan has been a practicing lawyer since 1997 . Before cofounding Zulficar and Partners, Mr. Zeidan was a partner at Shalakany Law office.

Mr. Zeidan is recognized by the Firm’s clients and legal directories as a leading lawyer and is recognized in the Egyptian market as a prominent expert and authority in the Egyptian capital market Laws. Mr. Zeidan consistently provides valuable advice to clients on tender offers, rights issue, swaps and IPOs, stock exchange rules and disclosure requirements.

 Mr. Zeidan has participated in a number of major transactions including capital market transactions, restructuring and M&A transactions. The most recent transactions in which Mr. Zeidan has participated are listed in the work highlight section of this submission. 

He has extensive experience in conducting due diligence proceedings and legal audits involving public and private Egyptian companies and banks.
In addition to the above Mr. Zeidan has also handled the first series of Employees Stock Option Plans in Egypt (ESOP) and is recognized as the leading Egyptian expert in this field setting the models for the market. 

Mr. Zeidan consistently provides the Firm’s major clients with day to day corporate legal advice including Taqa Arabia and its subsidiaries, SODIC, Cleopatra Hospital Company, Tanjong Energy, Ghabour Auto, Guardian Industries.
