Valentin Voinescu

Valentin Voinescu is a seasoned banking and finance lawyer with 19 years of experience.

He has broad transactional and advisory experience in the financial sector and in advising financial institutions and corporations on a wide range of issues, including finance transactions, debt instruments, and regulatory matters. He specializes in syndicated transactions (cross-border and local), project finance and structured finance, being acknowledged for his experience in structuring and executing complex deals.

Throughout his career, he has been involved in large-scale projects, including milestone deals in the local market. He contributed to the development of a flourishing local syndicated market, regularly advising key local banks on some of the largest and most complex deals, with more than EUR 1 billion of such transactions successfully executed during the past 3 years.

• Assisted a syndicate of banks in providing a EUR 550 million financing to the Swiss group Ameropa
• Assisted AAylex One, one of the leading players in the Romanian food industry and the producer of the Cocorico brand in connection with a EUR 20 million loan facility granted by a syndicate of banks
• Assisted a syndicate of banks in providing a loan facility totalling EUR 101.5 to RodBun Group, one of Romania’s most important players in the agricultural field, by refinancing and increasing existing facilities by EUR 37.14 million
• Assisted OTP Bank Romania and OTP Group in a EUR 57.80 million financing for real estate developer Exigent Property Investment SRL
• Advised a syndicate of banks on EUR 347 million financing to Swiss group Ameropa
