Clasis Law has hired a new head to develop its office in Mumbai after a series of departures in the course of a year left the office partnerless.

Senior partner Mustafa Motiwala joins the firm from Juris Corp and will build and lead Clasis Law’s real estate practice alongside New Delhi partner Sumeet Lall, who will help him develop the firm’s litigation practice.

Vineet Aneja, Clasis Law’s Delhi head said: “We are delighted to welcome Mustafa to the firm. His arrival brings a new impetus for Clasis Law in Mumbai and fits firmly with our strategic plan. We intend to develop key practices in Mumbai with the overall goal of achieving significant presence and reputation in the Mumbai market, which will complement the overall capabilities of our other Clasis Law offices.”

Motiwala has over 20 years experience in corporate, litigation and real estate work, and has acted for clients in deals across the dispute resolution, corporate, intellectual property, media and entertainment, and real estate practice areas.

This full-service Indian law firm offers cross-border legal services for domestic as well as international clients, and operates out of offices in Mumbai, New Delhi and London.
