Co-founding partner of Clasis Law, Sakate Khaitan, has broken away and launched a new firm with three Clasis senior associates.

The newly formed firm Khaitan Legal Associates (KLA) has offices in Mumbai and London.

Clasis Law was established in a similar way when a group of partners broke away from Clyde & Co’s ‘best friends’ ALMT Legal, while maintaining its professional relationship with the international firm.

In a statement Khaitan said: “It has been a fulfilling journey thus far, setting up Clasis Law with other partners and a fantastic association with Clyde & Co for the last five years but it is now the time to pursue new ventures.”

Khaitan Legal Associates covers corporate and litigation matters with a particular industry focus on banking, insurance and commodities.
