Sidley Austin has hired a new partner for its structured finance and securitisation team in London.

Rupert Wall joins the US firm from Weil Gotshal & Manges. His practice covers securitisation work with a number of underlying asset classes including trade and credit card receivables, auto loans, car rental assets and mortagages. He also covers CDOs, CLOs, covered bonds and ABCP conduits.

Recent work examples include work for Hertz Europe on the securitisation of rental car fleets in Australia, France and the Netherlands; Barclays as arranger, dealer and manager on the 'Brass 2' RMBS by Yorkshire Building Society; Barclays Capital as arranger and underwriter of a covered bond programme by Newcastle Building Society; and Bank of America Merrill Lynch as arranger and initial purchaser to Alcentra’s Jubilee 2014-XI and 2015-XV CLOs.

Wall joins a well respected structured finance practice at Sidley that also includes the likes of IFLR1000 Leading lawyers Graham Penn, Marc Wassermann and John Woodhall.
