An M&A and project finance partner, Trelles de Belaunde was recruited by Spanish firm Cuatrecasas’ recently launched Lima branch last month. Formerly a partner at leading Peruvian firm Estudio Echecopar, he will add depth and experience to the nascent office’s team.

Chris McGaffin – Slaughter and May, Hong Kong
Slaughters’ partner McGaffin led the Hong Kong team that advised FWD on its acquisition of the life insurance business of Siam Commercial Bank. The deal is the largest insurance M&A deal in South East Asia ever, and an IFLR1000 Deal of the Month for July.

Former head of corporate and M&A for Norton Rose Fulbright in South Africa was recruited, Lomax was recruited by Herbert Smith Freehills’ Johannesburg office last month.
