Yewande is Partner in the Firm’s Finance and Capital Markets Practice. She has a deep understanding of the world of finance and garnered considerable expertise in providing legal support to domestic and international finance institutions. She has vast experience in project and corporate finance, securities, equity, and debt capital markets. She also has litigation experience and advised on several corporate disputes.

  • Led the team that advised on Airtel Africa Plc’s on its US$750 Million dual listing in the United Kingdom and Nigeria, a deal which is the first ever offer and inward listing on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).
  • Advised on the debt issuance programme established by BUA Cement Plc to raise capital of up to N200,000,000,000.00 (Two Hundred Billion Naira). The bond issue is the largest ever corporate bond issued in the Nigerian debt capital market.
  • Acted as Counsel to the Dealer Managers with respect to the cash repurchase of the USD500,000,000 7.375% notes (due 2022) (Regulation S: Common Code: 161983977, ISIN: XS1619839779; Rule 144A: Common Code: 161984078, ISIN: US98935LAB36, CUSIP: 98935LAB3) issued by Zenith Bank Plc. of which USD500,000,000 were outstanding.
  • Advised on the transaction relating to the issue of NGN100,000,000.00 (One Hundred Billion Naira) Series III bond issuance under the NGN300, 000,000,000 bond programme by the Lagos State Government.
  • Advised on FBN Quest Merchant Banks’ establishment of the NGN50 Billion Programme and the issuance of the NGN5 Billion Series I Bonds under the Programme.
  • Advised the NIDF as solicitors to the Issue, in connection 150 million Units (Series IV) and 150 million Units (Series (V) note issuance under its NGN200 Billion Fund Programme.
