Maria Cristina joined the firm in 2016 in the Banking and Finance department of the Panamanian office, an area in which she currently focuses her practice in assisting national and international companies. She has participated in complex transactions that have involved multi-jurisdictional and multidisciplinary teams such as financing projects of high levels of complexity; structuring and execution of mergers, acquisitions, examining corporate and contractual topics; international bond issuance, among others.Also, she has provided legal advice to companies related to Security Market, including Private Investment Funds. She has supported consultations with banking entities and the securities market sector regarding the application of Panamanian legislation.Has provided pro bono legal advice to the World Bank Group in connection with Panamanian legislation in the project Doing Business 2018 and 2019 edition.

• Acted as Panamanian legal advisors to Tikehau Investment Management, regarding an Amendment Agreement relating to a Subscription Agreement, between GTCEISU Construcción, S.A., the Guarantors, which among them includes a Panamanian Company named Terratest Panama, S.A., the Subscribers and Tikehau Investment Management in connection with a subscription of Additional Notes for up to fourteen million euros (EUR €14,000,000.00).
