Deutsche Finance International consortium/Yoo Capital £296 million acquisition of the Olympia Exhibition Centre

Overview:

• A Deutsche Finance International led consortium alongside Yoo Capital, has acquired Venues, the exhibition business of Capital & Counties Properties (Capco), whose principal asset is the Olympia Exhibition Centre in London, for £296 million.
• The consortium is made up of Bayerische Versorgungskammer, the Versicherungskammer Bayern Group and DFI European Value Add Fund.
• The Olympia is an exhibition centre located on 3.9 acres of land in West London. It hosts 200 events annually welcoming 1.6 million visitors.,
• Bayerische Versorgungskammer is Germany’s largest manager of public pension schemes. Versicherungskammer Bayern Group is Germany’s largest public insurer. Yoo Capital is a real estate investment firm.
• The deal is being part financed by a £151 million loan provided by Legal & General.
• Langham Hall and Jones Lang LaSalle advised the consortium.
