Overview:

  • edotco Group—a subsidiary of Malaysia’s biggest mobile operator Axiata Group—has acquired a 75% stake in Myanmar Tower Company for $165.75 million.
  • edotco manages 15,000 towers and 12,000km of telecoms cables across Malaysia, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
  • The deal was settled in cash through Myanmar Tower Company’s parent company Digicel Asian Holdings.
