Overview:

  • VTG refinanced €1.2 billion of its bank debt, which represented around two thirds of its outstanding liabilities.
  • A multinational transport and logistics company based in Hamburg, VTG is in the process of a Europe-wide corporate reorganisatio. 
  • The refinancing saw the company agree a new syndicated loan with revolving and term loan facilities, in addition to restructuring an existing €600 million US private placement financing undertaken in the context of its restructuring. 
  • KfW IPEX-Bank and UniCredit led the syndicate of 12 lenders which provided VTG with the new loan facilities.
