Overview:

  • BAM PPP, selected by Belgian Buildings Agency and the Federal Governmental Department of Justice, has completed financing for the construction of Dendermonde Prison in Belgium.
  • Under the public-private partnership contract, BAM Utiliteitbouw and BAM Interbuild will design and build the new prison, which will have a 444 inmate capacity, with BAM Facility Management then maintaining it for a 25 year period.
  • The project is valued at €194 million.
  • Belfius Bank, Nationale-Nederlanden bank, AG Insurance and Coöperatieve Rabobank provided facility financing.
  • Construction is expected to be completed by October 2022.
