Overview:

  • Cloud computing company Salesforce has acquired integration platform MuleSoft in a $6.5 billion deal. 
  • The transaction cost includes $600 million of MuleSoft's debt. 
  • A portion of the deal's financing is coming from a $2.5 billion 3.5% and 3.7% notes offering by Salesforce. 
  • The offering's underwriters were led by BofA Merrill Lynch, JP Morgan Securities, Barclays Capital, Citigroup Global Markets, Deutsche Bank Securities and Wells Fargo Securities. 
  • BofA Merrill Lynch was exclusive financial adviser for Salesforce on the acquisition, as was Goldman Sachs for MuleSoft. 
  • The transaction is expected to close by the end of July 2018.
