Overview:

• Nuclear Research and Technology Center
• Rosatom, Russia's state-owned nuclear agency, entered into an agreement with the government of Bolivia to build a nuclear research and technology centre in Bolivia.
• The centre will allow the country to understand and apply nuclear technology to science, medicine, geology, and agriculture.
• It is thought that this could result in the construction of a nuclear power plant in Bolivia.
• As of now, Brazil, Argentina and Mexico are the only countries in Latin America with nuclear power plants.
