Regional law firm ZICOlaw has added a new member to its network in order to enhance its capabilities in providing Singapore legal advice.

Insights Law, co-headed by Chua Wei-min and Gregory Chan, joined the network that has coverage in 15 cities across eight of the 10 Asean countries.

ZICOlaw first entered Singapore in 2003 as the first Malaysian-based foreign firm. The addition of Insights Law aims to complement the legal advisory services already provided by other network members in the region.

Chew Seng-kok, ZICOlaw’s chairman, said: “Insights Law’s participation will extend ZICOLaw’s capability to offer clients of the network access to Singapore law advice, whilst remaining connected to the resources of the entire ZICO Law network.”

Other members in the network are Zaid Ibrahim & Co in Malaysia, Roosdiono & Partners in Indonesia, Sok Siphana & Associates in Cambodia and the ZICOlaw network firms in Laos, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and Myanmar.

Chua joined the Singapore law practice of ZICOLaw network in 2003 before she moved to Insights Law last year. She specialises in cross-border corporate and private equity transactions, regulatory compliance and is also experienced in private wealth planning involving trusts and foundations.

Chan is experienced in Singapore and other cross-border business transactions covering M&A, IPOs, RTOs, takeovers, and other capital markets, fund-raising, securities, commercial and investment transactions, and related corporate compliance. He worked for the Ministry of Home Affairs and Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore before he moved to focus on corporate finance.
