Watson Farley & Williams have completed a move for a highly rated transport finance partner from Uria Menéndez, a move that looks to bolster its growing asset finance practice in Madrid.

Making the move from market leader Uria, Alfredo Cabellos carries with him a wealth of knowledge on all aspect of asset finance, with an emphasis on financing ships, aircraft and rail equipment. Cabellos is known for his past advice on maritime law for numerous sizeable firms and banks in Spain and across Europe.

An appointment of a partner with the reputation of Cabellos - from a firm with the reach of Uria - is a firm indicator of the scope of WFW’s reputation, and the level of its ambition.
