Watson Farley & Williams has expanded its London corporate practice with the addition of a partner from Clyde & Co.

Nigel Taylor acts on M&A, corporate structuring, joint ventures and fund raising in the rail, natural resources and insurance sectors.

Transactional highlights include advising Guinea on the iron ore and infrastructure focused Simandou South project; acting for Noble Resources International on its acquisition of Delivery Network Singapore; and advising Global Telecom & Technology on its acquisation of PacketExchange.

The firm has added a number of new partners to its London team in the past 12 months, specifically taking steps to expand its finance offering with the additions of equity capital markets specialists Dearbhla Quigley and Martin Thomas from Chadbourne & Parke, debt capital markets focused Rob McBride from Fried Frank and structured finance and securitisation partner Siân Withey, also from Fried Frank.
