Reto Ferrari-Visca

Reto Ferrari-Visca represents clients in complex regulatory, civil and criminal proceedings. He has extensive experience appearing before courts as well as criminal and administrative authorities in Switzerland and abroad. Clients benefit from his expertise in planning and conducting internal investigations and in advising on all aspects of compliance, with a particular focus on financial market regulation and white-collar crime.

Other core areas of his practice are secrecy and data protection laws. He advises corporate clients on the outsourcing of data processing activities and supports them in cross-border data protection matters, including obtaining any regulatory approvals that may be required.

Reto Ferrari-Visca studied at the University of Berne and earned his doctorate with a dissertation on «Possibilities and Limitations of Cross-Border Data Transfers by Swiss Banks». He regularly speaks at professional conferences and publishes in his fields of expertise.

Jeremy Reichlin

Jeremy Reichlin is an employment-law specialist. He provides pragmatic advice to companies on all employment-law matters. His practice focuses on designing compensation and remuneration arrangements, advising on complex restructurings, individual and collective termination processes, as well as the employment and occupational pension aspects of domestic and cross‑border transactions. Furthermore, he represents clients in employment disputes. His expertise in data protection law enables him to support clients at the intersection of employment and data protection laws.

Jeremy Reichlin studied law at the University of Geneva and earned an LL.M. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law. Prior to joining Homburger, he worked as an attorney in Geneva and as a law clerk at the Federal Administrative Court in St.Gallen.

Jeremy Reichlin is a Certified Specialist SBA Employment Law and holds a CAS in Occupational Pensions from the University of St.Gallen.

Alexander Wherlock

Alexander Wherlock specializes in financial markets and banking law. He regularly advises on banking supervision, the regulation of complex financial products, anti-money laundering and financing transactions. He also has considerable expertise and experience in the areas of crypto-regulation, FinTech and the digitalization of financial services.

Alexander Wherlock studied at and obtained a PhD from the University of Zurich. His dissertation focused on the regulation of derivative markets. Prior to joining Homburger, Alexander Wherlock worked as a Legal and Policy Specialist in the Recovery and Resolution Division of the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA.
