Sidley Austin has expanded its global project finance and infrastructure practice with the addition of a new partner in Singapore.

David Gartside joins the team from White & Case where he focused on energy, infrastructure, project and asset finance.

Matthew Sheridan, managing partner of Sidley’s Singapore office, said of the hire: “David’s arrival expands our capabilities in complex energy, infrastructure and asset financing transactions in all key markets in Asia.”

In his new role, Gartside will advise project sponsors and developers, utilities, contractors, commercial lenders, infrastructure funds, export credit agencies, multilateral agencies and development banks on major international projects and project financings. He will also counsel clients on acquisitions, restructuring, and asset and trade financings.
