Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison has appointed two dual-qualified counsels to strengthen the firm's Asia presence.

Po Ying Lo first started her legal practice at Paul Weiss' New York Office, where she was an associate. She now re-joins Paul Weiss from Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld to practise as counsel with a focus on private equity, M&A, and other financial corporate deals in the Asia region. Po is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese and is admitted to practice in Hong Kong and New York.

Andrew Lam joins the financing group from JPMorgan in Hong Kong, where he was an executive director supporting the Global Special Opportunities Group business of JPMorgan. Prior to his role in JPMorgan, he was working with an international law firm as a senior associate in the finance team in the Hong Kong office.

Lam has a focus on special situations transactions such as leveraged and acquisition financings, recapitalisations, distressed debts and restructuring. Lam has been involved in transactions across the Asia-Pacific region. Like Po, Lam is also fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese. He is dual-qualified in Hong Kong, and England and Wales.
