Paul Hastings has added to its London debt finance practice with the hire of a new partner from Linklaters.

David Ereira specialises in debt restructuring, banking and real estate and private equity acquisition finance matters and will join the US firm's broader corporate practice.

His recent work includes advising PwC as administrators of Lehman Brothers Internatioanl Europe; the creditors of Le Meridien Hotels on its restructuring; and acting for Garuda and Telewest on their respective schemes of arrangement.

Before joining Linklaters, Ereira spent 17 years at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.

The move is the latest in a series of hires made by Paul Hastings in the past 12 months including the additions of leveraged finance partner Luke McDougall from Ashurst; structured finance lawyer Paul Severs from Berwin Leighton Paisner; private funds partner Duncan Woollard from King & Wood Mallesons; and high yield specialist Peter Schwartz who joined from Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy.

The firm also added regulatory lawyers Ben Regnard-Weinrabe and Ashley Winton from Hogan Lovells and White & Case respectively.
