Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe has hired a new partner in Milan.
Gabriel Monzon-Cortarelli joins the team from Seyfarth Shaw where he led the Italian desk.
Prior to joining Seyfarth in 2015 he had worked at Greenberg Traurig.
Monzon-Cortarelli focuses on M&A and private equity work and also advises on capital markets issues. He mainly advises US subsidiaries and affiliates of Italian companies on matters related to their US and Latin American operations.
He is dual qualified in New York and England and Wales.
Recent work includes advising Gruppo BCUBE, an Italian logistics operator, on its US and Latin American expansion via various acquisitions of defense and commercial logistics operators.
In Italy, Orrick is best known for its securitisation practice and is one of the most active firms in this space.
