Morrison & Foerster has hired a new finance partner in London.

Benoit Lavigne joins from Ropes & Gray, he focuses on leveraged and acquisition finance and special situations lending.

Recent deal highlights include advising a TMT company on its cross-border equity and debt financings for the acquisition of various portfolio companies; acting for a UK company on its £1.5 billion refinancing; and advising the steering committee of mezzanine lenders in connection with the restructuring of the €1 billion debt facilities of an EU-headquartered cable group.

 

The hire is the latest London hire for the firm following the additions of finance partner Caroline Jury from Clifford Chance and corporate partner Dan Coppel from Jones Day.
