Maples and Calder has expanded its offering in Luxembourg to encompass legal services after making a number of lateral hires. 

The firm has appointed Dechert partner Johan Terblanche as country managing partner and the head of the domestic funds group. 

Several lawyers from AMMC Law have also been recruited, including banking partner Arnaud Arrecgros, M&A partners Marjorie Allo and Baptiste Aubry, and M&A counsel, Christopher Clarke.

Maples and Calder has operated in Luxembourg since 2007 through its funds services company, MaplesFS.

The firm also has offices in the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Ireland and Jersey.
