King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) has welcomed back a former partner in the form of Linklaters projects specialist James Douglass who left the firm originally in 1998.

Douglass (recognised as an IFLR1000 Leading lawyer) was previously based in Linklater's Beijing office having relocated there in late 2010 from London. He will join the KWM team in London.

He focuses on advising Chinese entities on outbound investment in the energy sector.

The move represents the third partner departure from the Linklaters UK projects team this year with Matthew Hagopian and Manzer Ijaz moving to Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy late last month.
