K&L Gates has re-hired a partner in Tokyo to enhance its corporate and M&A team.

Tsuguhito Omagari rejoins the firm from Sonderhoff & Einsel where he worked as a partner.

Ryan Dwyer, K&L Gates’ Tokyo office managing partner said of the hire: “We are happy to have Tsuguhito rejoin our Tokyo office. He is an excellent M&A and corporate finance lawyer with extensive Japan PIPEs deal experience. His addition amplifies our Japanese corporate/M&A offerings and enhances our ability to represent Japanese corporate clients and financial institutions in strategic corporate/M&A transactions across the region.”

Omagari focuses on cross-border and domestic M&A, private equity, private investment in public entities (PIPEs), joint ventures, real estate investment transactions, and various other corporate related regulatory issues.

This latest development follows the firm's April hire of M&A partner Dale Araki. Established in 2010, the Tokyo office of K&L Gates now has 12 partners.
