India’s HSA Advocates has hired a new banking and finance specialist as a partner in its New Delhi office.
Amit Charan, formerly a principal associate at SNG & Partners, brings specialised knowledge in project finance, structured finance, acquisition finance, debt capital markets, consortium and syndicated lending, and structured loans.
Prior to his position at SNG & Partners, Charan worked at J Sagar Associates and L&L Partners. His appointment comes after HSA’s recent acquisition of infrastructure boutique GS Associates and boutique firm DLS Law Offices and the recent hire of corporate partner Gaurav Sahay in Bengaluru from Kochhar & Co.
Charan is also the most recent in a series of hires following the departures of two senior partners, Anjan Dasgupta and Aparajit Bhattacharya, to DSK Legal.
