DLA Piper has bolstered its finance practice in Warsaw with the hire of a new partner.

Mariusz Hyla (an IFLR1000 Leading Lawyer) has joined the banking and finance team from Hogan Lovells. He specialises in acquisition, structured and real estate finance and debt capital markets work.

Hyla had been at Hogan Lovells since 1999 and also has experience acting on working teams related to Polish legislation including the Act on the Availability of Economic Information, the Act on Securitisation Transactions, and the Act on Mortgage Banks.

Recent work includes advising ING on financing of acquisition of portfolio of outlet shopping centres in Warsaw and Kraków by TH Real Estate; advising Landesbank Hessen Thüringen (Helaba) on financing of the shopping centre Galeria Sloneczna in Radom; advising Bank SEB on financing of the acquisition of office buildings Green Corner in Warsaw by RREEF; and advising Westdeutsche ImmobilienBank on financing of the development of Malta Office Park in Poznan.
