Dentons has rehired a former partner in London.

Howard Barrie rejoins the firm from Eversheds Sutherland. He focuses on project finance with a particular focus on Africa work, advising on energy, mining, oil and gas and transport projects.

He is recognised as a Highly regarded lawyer by the IFLR1000.

His recent work includes advising on the Corbetti 500MW geothermal power plant in Ethiopia and the Bugesera International Airport in Rwanda.

In addition to project finance Barrie also advises on structured trade finance and commodity finance and outside of Africa has worked on projects in countries including Bangladesh, India, Azerbaijan, Lithuania, Russia, UK, Spain, France and the US.

Barrie joined Eversheds from the then SNR Denton in 2011 having spent the previous 19 years at the firm.
