Baker & McKenzie has bolstered its offering in Hong Kong by hiring competition partner Stephen Crosswell from Clifford Chance and employment partner Rowan McKenzie from Linklaters.
Crosswell served as Clifford Chance's head of the antitrust & competition practice in Hong Kong and coordinated the overall practice in Asia. He is an experienced antitrust lawyer, focusing on transactional and advisory competition law issues in the telecommunications and media, energy, infrastructure, property and retail sectors.
David Fleming, head of the firm’s M&A and competition groups in Hong Kong and China, said: “We are very excited that Stephen, a leading practitioner in competition law, will be joining our team. McKenzie worked as the head of Linklaters’ employment and incentives practice in Asia. He is an experienced employment practitioner and coordinates regional employment law advice across large Asia-Pacific jurisdictions. The firm has also brought in employment law specialist Catherine Leung from Howse Williams Bowers.
In Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai, Baker & McKenzie has over 400 lawyers and professional staff.
