South African firm Webber Wentzel has announced the arrival of three new senior additions to its M&A team who join the firm from local competitors.

From 1 May Gareth Driver and Hueiza Goolam will be working with the firm's Johannesburg office. Driver is the former head of the commercial department and the corporate mergers and acquisitions practice at Werksmans Attorneys where Goolam has also been working as a director for the past eight years.

From the same date, former ENSafrica partner Adam Ismail will be joining the Cape Town office.

All three new additions are very experienced transactional lawyers. Driver and Goolam have a lot of experience in a range of areas, notably in the financial services and mining sectors. Ismail, meanwhile, has extensive experience in black economic empowerment work.
