(Vienna, 29.08.2016) As of 1.9.2016 Michael Ebner strengthens the Real Estate and Corporate/M&A-team as an attorney-at-law, Kerstin Pokorny the Banking and Finance-team and Elisabeth Tretthahn the Dispute Resolution-team.

Mag. Michael Ebner, LL.M. (Tulane), 31, has been part of Binder Grösswang’s Real Estate and Corporate/M&A team since 2012 and was admitted to the bar in August 2016. He specializes in Real Estate and Tenancy Law as well as in Corporate law and M&A Transactions and advises national and international clients including clients in the retail, industrial, energy and oil & gas sector. Prior to joining the firm, he completed the judicial clerkship at different courts in Vienna and worked as an intern for the Austrian Chamber of Commerce in Caracas, Voest Alpine Scandinavia AB in Stockholm and Voest Alpine AG in Linz.

In addition to his law degree from the Universities of Vienna, he holds an LL.M. from Tulane University in New Orleans and spent a year studying at Università Cattolicà del Sacro Cuore in Milan. Besides his admission to the Austrian bar, Michael Ebner is admitted to practice law in the State of New York, he speaks German, English, Italian and Spanish.

Mag. Kerstin Pokorny, 30, will be acting as Senior Associate/Attorney-at-Law in the Banking & Finance team of BINDER GRÖSSWANG starting on 1 September 2016.

Kerstin Pokorny is specialized in banking supervision law, securities regulation law, investment fund law and corporate law and regularly advises renowned Austrian and international banks, securities firms, investment managers, payment companies and e-commerce businesses, as well as diverse companies in matters of company law. In recent years, she has predominantly been involved in the restructuring of the Austrian Volksbank sector.

Prior to joining BINDER GRÖSSWANG in 2012, Kerstin Pokorny worked for the law firm Baker & McKenzie in Vienna and Cruz & Cía Abogados in Santiago de Chile. She studied at the University of Vienna (Mag iur. 2011) and worked among others as a legal intern at the OPEC Secretariat and the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber in Santiago de Chile.

The Banking & Finance team of BINDER GRÖSSWANG is ranked tier 1 in most international law firm rankings and will be strengthened by the addition of Kerstin Pokorny as Senior Associate/Attorney-at-Law.

Mag. Elisabeth Tretthahn LL.M. (LSE), 30, joins Binder Grösswang as an attorney, bolstering the firm‘s Dispute Resolution Team. She is specialized in international litigation and arbitration and primarily advises national and international clients in cross-border disputes. Her recent work includes successfully advising an international corporation in an international commercial arbitration and representing a foreign state entity in a dispute concerning foreign privatisation.

Elisabeth Tretthahn has worked for Binder Grosswang as an associate since 2013. Prior to joining Binder Grösswang, she worked for Brauneis Klauser Prändl Attorneys at Law in Vienna and the University of Vienna.

Elisabeth Tretthahn studied at the University of Essex, the University of Vienna and the London School of Economics (LL.M. International Business Law). She is the author of publications in the area of dispute resolution.
