Norton Rose Fulbright has hired a new derivatives partner in London to expand its capital markets practice.

Daniel Franks joins the firm from Field Fisher Waterhouse. He had previously been a counsel at Allen & Overy.

His practice focuses on privately negotiated and structured derivative products, including credit, equity, funds and rates derivatives. He also acts on structured finance and securitisation matters.

David Shearer, a capital markets partner at Norton Rose Fulbright said of the hire: “Daniel brings a wealth of experience with him, which will add depth to our transactional offering in addition to our broader derivatives practice. Daniel will also work closely with our leading regulatory practice to assist our financial institutions clients in navigating the increasing levels of regulation in the sector.”
