Mayer Brown has enhanced its London finance offering with the hire of Stuart Brinkworth from Fried Frank Harris Shriver & Jacobson.

Brinkworth (an IFLR1000 Highly Regarded lawyer) had led Fried Frank's finance offering in London and specialises in advising lenders and sponsors on leveraged buyout financings.

He is dual qualified in both England & Wales and New York.

His recent work includes advising Lumenis on a $245 million unitranche facility provided by Alcentra; work for Intermediate Capital Group and Lloyds Bank as lenders on a £132 million unitranche and super senior revolving facility for the refinancing and combination of Leaders Lettings and Romans; and work for the underwriters and bookrunners on the multi-currency loans for the financing of Waterlogic's acquisition of PHS Waterlogic.

The move follows the firm's hire of private equity partner Neil Evans from Simpson Thacher & Bartlett earlier in the year.
