Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft has hired a team of three partners and four counsel to expand its Greater China practice.

Partners Michael Liu, Stephen Chan and Jane Ng join from Latham & Watkins’s corporate team, where Liu was co-chair of the firm’s Greater China Practice and was previously the managing partner of its Hong Kong office.

Liu has 30 years’ experience advising on a range of corporate transactions in Hong Kong and London, and his team is one of the most experienced in the Hong Kong legal market.

The team’s experience over the past three decades in Hong Kong and China includes public take-overs, private M&A, IPOs, debt and structured financings across sectors such as financial services, energy, technology, media and entertainment, and mining.
