Baker Botts has added seven new partners to two different practices in Houston. All of the partners arrive from Norton Rose Fulbright.

Edward Rhyne, David Peterman, Efren Acosta, Natasha Khan and Dan Tristan are joining Baker Botts' corporate group.

Rhyne, Khan and Acosta focus on deals in the energy and oil and gas sectors. Peterman is the former head of Norton Rose's US M&A and securties practice group and Acosta is the former head of Norton Rose's Houston US M&A and securities practice group.

In addition, Baker Botts' global project group has added Ned Crady and Daniel Mark.

Both partners work on energy sector transactions.

Houston has emerged as a hot spot this week, following a multi-partner move to King & Spalding's Houston office.
