He represents developers, lenders and other parties across the breadth of infrastructure sectors, including power, renewables and sustainable development, oil and gas (upstream and downstream) and transportation. Mr. Freedman has been widely quoted in industry, national and international publications, including The New York Times and the Financial Times, on matters relating to renewables and other infrastructure sectors. Prior to joining Shearman & Sterling, Mr. Freedman was a Managing Director and Counsel with GE Energy Financial Services, the energy investment business of the General Electric Company. Mr. Freedman is co-head of the firm’s global Sustainable Development Group and is the firm’s former co-hiring Partner.
