Rachel is a corporate lawyer with 30 years of experience, focusing on corporate M&A, corporate advisory, corporate governance, funds and trusts and listings work. Her active involvement in government and industry committees and public and private sector boards provide her with holistic corporate exposure to act as excellent counsel to clients.

The firm strongly believes in diversity of talent. It currently has approximately 50% female fee earners. Although the firm is relatively new, it adopts a flexible work culture across the entire firm, including staff. This greatly benefit fee earners who have young children, enabling them to work from home whenever required.  Further, the firm has a mentoring system where the younger fee earners are mentored by the more senior ones. The firm also celebrates the International Women’s Day to recognise the efforts and achievements of its women.

  • Assisted in the initial public offering of Credit Bureau Asia Limited on the Main Board of SGX-ST, currently with market capitalisation of approximately US$227 million.
  • Assisted SGX-ST Main Board listed Dasin Retail Trust in the acquisition of two retail malls located in the People’s Republic of China from its sponsor in a deal valued at US$247.2 million. This acquisition is an interested party transaction under the listing rules of SGX-ST, and was subject to the approval of the independent unitholders of Dasin Retail Trust.
  • Assisted Dasin Retail Trust in its private placement of approximately 120.5 million new units, which raised US$69.8 million which was used to partially finance the above acquisition.
  • Assisted Proxtera Pte Ltd, a marketplace set up to facilitate B2B transactions, to prepare legal documentation among stakeholders, with technology providers and with participating partners.
  • Assisted JR Group in negotiating subscription agreement and shareholders agreement with Wilmar International Limited who invested in JR Foods as minority shareholder.
