Mohamed Khodeir is the founder and Managing Partner of Khodeir & Partners and heads our Corporate Practices.
Mohamed is a renowned legal figure in the MEA, holding an unparalleled track record of over20 years advising investors doing business in 4 jurisdictions, with a deal sheet exceeding 50 Billion US$.
Mohamed was the former CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (“GAFI”) in Egypt, during a time of major reforms that included issuing of the new Investment Law which is one of the projects he led while serving public office.
Before founding Khodeir & Partners, Mohamed was a partner in one of the largest firms in the Middle East and managed two major law offices of that firm in the region and has also overseen expansion in the region including co-founding Egypt operation.
Mohamed has had a diverse background in numerous areas of direct/indirect investment and multiple areas of law including; corporate, banking & finance, dispute settlement, government projects, legislation, investment and tax as well as family business. He has worked with government bodies on projects such as railways and telecommunication networks as well as being involved in major international transactions acting as local counsel and managing cross-border deals. Mohamed has practiced law in four jurisdictions including Egypt and the UAE and worked with, and in cooperation with, numerous regional, local and international law firms.
He is a qualified lawyer before Egyptian courts and was a qualified legal consultant in the UAE. Mohamed is also a member of the London Chartered institute of Arbitrators. He holds an LLM degree in international Business Law from Leiden University, the Netherlands and passed the Harvard Business School “Leading Global Businesses” Course.
Mohamed has also been consistently highly regarded by rating agencies.
Mohamed is a Visiting Lecturer in the British University in Egypt (BUE).
