M. Arun Kumar

Arun’s practice includes diverse aspects of construction, infrastructure projects, renewable energy and real estate including project development, acquisitions, divestments and joint ventures in that space.

He provides legal representation to several international and Indian companies active in the infrastructure and real estate sectors as investors, developers and contractors.

In his practice of over 18 years, Arun advises clients in sectors such as airports, ports, highways, urban infrastructure, manufacturing, renewable energy, mobility, leisure & hospitality, waste management, commercial and residential real estate development.

• Arun has also been involved in several public-private partnership (PPP) projects with Government authorities in sectors such as airports, highways, water supply, waste management and energy projects.
• He has been involved in advising on risk identification and risk mitigation in tenders and contracts in infrastructure sectors such as airports, energy, waste management, roads & highways, leisure & hospitality, and commercial and residential real estate development.
• In infrastructure projects, he has represented developers, financial and strategic investors in transactions involving the purchase or sale of infrastructure assets, including large portfolios deals, single-asset deals and joint ventures.
• Arun also advises domestic and international companies on large scale land diligence, and land acquisition across India for projects that are being developed by such companies.
• Given his background and experience in the construction sector, Arun also has significant experience in advising on contract management, pre-dispute strategies, claims and delay analysis, and claims negotiations.
