Jackie is a director in the Finance and Banking practice and is part of the Debt Capital Markets ("DCM") practice area. She has extensive experience in debt capital markets law and advises global and domestic corporate and investment banks on all aspects of the regulatory environment applicable to debt capital markets.

  • Advised (together with English counsel Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP) a state-owned utility company on the update of the Base Prospectus (and the relevant Agreements) relating to its U.S.$6,000,000,000 Global Medium Term Note Programme Prospectus. Matter in abeyance;
  • Advised Capitec Bank Holdings Limited on the terms of conditions of Basel III-compliant Convertible Capital Securities set out in the Notice of Annual General Meeting, to be dated 26 April 2018, of the annual general meeting of the shareholders of Capitec Bank Holdings Limited to be held on 25 May 2018;
  • Advised Nedbank Group Limited (as Issuer) and Nedbank Limited (as Dealer) in relation to the issue, on 19 March 2018, of ZAR2,000,000,000 Subordinated Floating Rate Notes due 20 March 2028 (the proceeds of which qualify as "tier 2 capital" under the Banks Act, 1990) (listed on the Interest Rate Market of the JSE), under the Nedbank Group Limited ZAR10,000,000,000 Domestic Medium Term Note Programme;
  • Advised TUHF Limited (as Issuer) and Deloitte & Touche (as Arranger) in relation to the Consolidated Amended Programme Memorandum dated 10 November 2017 (approved by the JSE) relating to the TUHF Limited ZAR1,000,000,000 Domestic Medium Term Note Programme.
