Gbite Adeniji advises a diverse clientele on commercial transactions and projects in the energy and natural resources sectors. He has also advised the Government of Nigeria on several sector policy and reform initiatives. 

  • Advising an independent exploration and development company on a ~ US$340m carry agreement with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (“NNPC”) for financing the development of an oil field.
  • Project Counsel to Brass Fertilizer & Petrochemical Company Limited on the development of a US$3.5 billion gas processing and urea/methanol facility. Advised on gas supply, transportation and offtake arrangements.
  • Advised Energia on the development and financing of a ~ US$100 million modular oil refinery.
  • Advised on crude oil lifting and marketing arrangements and on gas monetisation in OML 113. 
  • Designed the Nigerian Gas Flare Commercialisation Programme (“NGFCP”); prepared the implementing Gas Flare (Prevention of Pollution and Waste) Regulations, 2018; and led the Steering Committee for the implementation of the programme.
