Efthymis is a partner in our Capital Markets & Financial Services Regulation practice. He is also a partner in our Finance practice.
He advises across both the transactional and regulatory dimensions of the financial markets. His practice bridges structured finance and capital markets, with a primary focus on capital markets transactions and the regulatory framework governing financial institutions and market participants.
In capital markets, Efthymis acts for issuers, listed companies, underwriters, investment firms and financial institutions on the full range of equity and debt capital markets matters, including ECM/DCM transactions, public offers and private placements, alongside prospectus and disclosure obligations, market abuse rules and ongoing issuer obligations. He also regularly advises clients on corporate governance, regulatory and compliance matters, drawing on first-hand experience across the operation and supervision of the financial markets.
On the finance side, Efthymis advises financial institutions, investors, credit servicers and other market participants on sophisticated securitisation and structured finance transactions, including performing and non-performing loan securitisations, commercial receivables securitisations and portfolio transfer transactions across a broad range of asset classes. He acts for lenders, borrowers, credit and financial institutions on financing structures, servicing arrangements, security packages and multi-creditor frameworks, combining technical expertise with commercially focused advice on highly structured transactions.
Prior to joining our firm, Efthymis was involved in several M&A projects and advised investment firms and other financial institutions on day-to-day issues, as well as on complex and high-profile transactions, both domestic and international. Efthymis is admitted before the Court of Appeals. He was admitted to the Athens Bar Association in 2011 and joined our firm in 2021.
