After law clerkship at the District Court of Affoltern (Zurich), he initially joined Homburger in 1994. He also holds an MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, after which he worked in corporate finance for UBS. Benedikt Maurenbrecher became partner in 2002. Since 2015, he heads the firm's Financial Services team and is the Co-head of the Capital Markets group. In 2020/2021 he was Co-Chair of the Banking and Law Committee of the International Bar Association.

  • Advised UBS Group AG on its issuance of USD 1.5 bn 4.875 per cent. Tier 1 Capital Notes
  • Advised ARYZTA AG with regard to its EUR 500 m multicurrency revolving credit facility
  • Advised UBS AG on its inaugural issuance of green bonds, consisting of EUR 500 m and CHF 250 m in aggregate principal amount of senior notes issued under UBS AG's Euro Note Programme
  • Advises Dufry on the issuance of CHF 500 m Guaranteed Senior Convertible Bonds due 2026 and a concurrent Voluntary Incentivized Conversion Offer to holders of its outstanding CHF 350 m Guaranteed Senior Convertible Bonds due 2023
