After law clerkship at the District Court of Affoltern (Zurich), he initially joined Homburger in 1994. He also holds an MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, after which he worked in corporate finance for UBS. Benedikt Maurenbrecher became partner in 2002. Since 2015, he heads the firm's Financial Services team. In 2020/2021 he was Co-Chair of the Banking and Law Committee of the International Bar Association.

  • Advised UBS AG on its inaugural issuance of digital bonds, consisting of a CHF 375 m bond issued under standalone documentation
  • Advises Dufry on the issuance of CHF 500 m Guaranteed Senior Convertible Bonds due 2026 and a concurrent Voluntary Incentivized Conversion Offer to holders of its outstanding CHF 350 m Guaranteed Senior Convertible Bonds due 2023
  • Advised Basler Kantonalbank in connection with the issuance of CHF 110 m Social Bonds by the Canton Basel Stadt
