Mr. Yogesh Chande is a partner in the firm with specialisation in securities laws and financial regulations. Before joining the Firm, Yogesh was an Associate Partner at Economic Laws Practice. He regularly advises banks and financial institutions, Indian listed companies, their promoters and SEBI registered intermediaries on various regulatory issues impacting transaction structuring and related issues.

  • Advised and assisted Axis Bank Limited on securities laws related aspects on USD 1.7 billion investment by (i) Bain Capital through BC Asia Investments VII Limited; Integral Investments South Asia IV; and BC Asia Investments III Limited, (ii) Capital Group New World Fund (LUX); New World Fund, INC.; Europacific Growth Fund; American Funds Insurance Series – International Fund; and American Funds Insurance Series – International Growth and Income Fund, and (iii) Life Insurance Corporation of India;
  • Advised and assisted Warburg Pincus on securities laws related aspects on its acquisition of 14% equity stake in PVR Limited;
  • Advised and assisted China Galaxy Group in their investment in the CIMB Group which carries out stock broking business comprising institutional and retail brokerage, equities research and associated securities business across Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, South Korea, India, United Kingdom and the United States of America;
  • Advised and assisted Mphasis Limited with respect to buyback of its equity shares;
  • Advised and assisted Balaji Telefilms Limited on securities laws related aspects of the scheme of arrangement with its wholly owned subsidiaries.
