Vivian has experience for over 17 years. In Business Law, one of her three disciplines, she advises multinational corporations in day-to-day affairs and transactions, as well as in mergers & acquisitions. In Banking & Finance, she utilizes her extensive knowledge of credit facilities and financing on behalf of international banks and financial institutions.

She actively promotes the corporate social responsibility program for BLP employees, and also coordinates the Firm’s Sustainability Management Program.

Vivian began her legal career as an International Associate at Greenberg Traurig in New York. 

  • Advised ENEL, a multinational energy company and one of the world’s leading integrated electricity and gas operators, in the due diligence process for indirect acquisition of Ufinet Group entities in Central America, as result of the possible acquisition of Ufinet Latam, S.L.U. BLP provided counsel in all the aspects related to the due diligence process, including different areas of law such as corporate, labor, real estate, banking, insurance, intellectual property, as well as special advice on telecommunications and antitrust matters. As a result of the bidding process, Enel acquired 21% of Ufinet
  • BLP advised its client ONE EQUITY in the acquisition of One Link, a leading BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) company in Latin America.  This was a complex transaction as it involved work from all of our BLP offices (Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala) where One Link has operations. The transaction was coordinated from our Costa Rica office.  
  • BLP represented Fondo Latinoamericano de Reservas in its loan agreement under NY Law to the Costa Rican Central Bank for an amount of US$ 1000 million dollars to secure the funds of the Costa Rica Government payment Balance.
  • Advised Credit Suisse, through Puesto de Bolsa Davivienda, a brokerage house, with the placement of a bid proposal for the purchase of i) US$85,000,000 principal amount of Costa Rican bonds and; ii) place with investors up to an additional US$400,000,000 principal amount of Costa Rican bonds.
