Stefan Grieder’s primary practice areas are finance and capital markets, company and contract law and M&A/private equity. He advises banks, securities traders and asset managers in supervisory law matters and specialises in the law on collective capital investments. His clients in company and contract law include leading international companies in the furniture trade, laboratory technology, mechanical engineering and aviation interior design sectors. In M&A and private equity, Stefan specialises in life science companies.

  • Advised Basler Kantonalbank, a state owned Swiss regional bank, in the public takeover of Bank Cler with subsequent squeeze-out court proceedings and integration of Bank Cler into the revised group structure of Basler Kantonalbank (deal value CHF 210 million).
  • Advised EBL, a Swiss energy supply company and shareholder in Alpiq, one of Switzerland's major energy suppliers, in connection with the public tender offer for the Alpiq free float shareholders, the delisting of Alpiq's shares from the SIX Swiss Exchange, the buy-out of remaining free float shareholders by way of a squeeze-out merger and the renegotiation of the shareholders' agreement.
