Cadwalader Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) is one of the firm’s several affinity networks that aim to enrich the firm’s culture and competitive strengths by promoting diversity and inclusion and meritocracy. The group meets to develop and advance initiatives that invest in the professional development of the firm’s women attorneys. As one example, the WLI hosts events to support our women attorneys in their professional development, including fireside chats with women partners about their career path and tips to achieve success as an associate. [See page our Diversity and Inclusion Brochure].

Cadwalader’s Future Leaders Coaching Program is born from the desire to create a talent pipeline program for our senior women in the firm. The pilot program started with 5 senior women to prepare them for future partner promotion and enable them to excel as partners. The coaching program provides the senior women attorneys with skills to develop business and to become effective leaders. The personal coaching will help unlock these women’s full potential and help them excel as future leaders within the firm.

In the past 18 months Samantha and her team acted on:

  • over 75 new subscription line facilities representing 29 different lender and borrower entities and covering just over €24 billion in commitments;
  • 11 new NAV/Pref facilities representing 8 lender and borrower entities, including two prominent alternative lenders, and totaling nearly €2.5 billion in commitments;
  • over 200 transactions, approximately 90 of which were new money financings, totalling in excess of €50 billion in value.
