Owen specialises in providing legal services to the energy sector, with a particular focus on the development, financing, sale and acquisition of energy projects and energy market regulatory advice. 

• Advising the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications on the terms and conditions of the second onshore Renewable Energy Support Scheme (RESS 2) and the first offshore Renewable Energy Support Scheme (ORESS 1).
• Advising Allied Irish Banks plc on the financing of two large-scale onshore wind farms in Ireland.
• Advising Bord na Móna plc on the development and financing of its 75 MW Cloncreen Wind Farm.
• Advising solar developer STEAG Solar Energy Solutions on its first acquisition in the Irish market.
• Advising Macquarie on its recent acquisition of the Beauparc / Panda Power business.
