Nicholas Chong

Nicholas Chong is a senior partner in the Dentons Rodyk’s Corporate practice group and Co-Head of the Capital Markets practice. He is a corporate and capital markets lawyer, with a focus on real estate investment trusts (REITs), debt capital markets and structured products. Nicholas has advised on various and award-winning multi-jurisdictional (cross-border) REIT initial public offerings, rights issues, M&A transactions and fund raisings.

• Acted for Perpetual (Asia) Limited, as REIT trustee, in the initial public offering of Cromwell European REIT raising gross proceeds of approximately EUR865.7million.
• Acted for Centurion Corporation Limited in the update of its S$500million multicurrency medium term note programme to a S$750million multicurrency debt issuance programme.
• Acted for DBS Trustee Limited, in its capacity as trustee of OUE Commercial REIT, in the acquisition of 67.95% of indirect effective interest in One Raffles Place for a purchase consideration of S$1.128billion.
• Acted for Surbana Jurong Private Limited in relation to the subscription by its wholly-owned subsidiary of S$300 million in aggregate principal amount of fixed rate bonds due 2029 and 300million detachable warrants issued by Changi Airports International Pte. Ltd.
